The country is divided into two distinct parts, namely Peninsula Malaysia and East Malaysia. Peninsula Malaysia is basically the long fringe of land that extends down from Asia and is located between the neighbouring countries of Singapore and Thailand. East Malaysia on the other hand is separated from Peninsula Malaysia by the South China Sea and is less populated. However the dense jungle of Sabah and Sarawak supports a variety of flora and fauna. Here you will be able to find the world's largest flower as well as Mt. Kinabalu, Sabah which is the highest peak in the South East Asian region.
Kuala Lumpur is adept at reconciling the old with the new. How the city excels at striking this balance is clearly observed in how the colonial fade and structure of the Sultan Abdul Samad building blends intimately with the tall, freestanding wonder of The Petronas Twin Towers. Naturally, there's more to the face and feature of Kuala Lumpur than these two world famous landmarks. The old railway station is one. The Masjid Jamekis another. And then, there's the new headquarters of Telekom Malaysia that curves skyward in its design and daring.
One thing you'll discover in Kuala Lumpur is the many priceless moments you get to sit back and reflect. Amidst the hustle and bustle of a metropolitan city, lies a calming yet serious appreciation of culture and the crafts.
If you are here for the sun and beach then do not worry as Malaysia has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, in fact some of them are located on islands such as Pulau Redang, Pulau Pangkor and many more. For those that want to experience the lifestyles of the traditional Malays then make a stop at the northern Kelantan province where you can witness the culture and enjoy the dishes unique to that area. The point is you will not get bored no matter where you visit in Malaysia
Also make sure to take a Malaysia SIM Card as a convenient and economical calling solution while you travel to Malaysia. The Malaysia SIM card includes FREE incoming calls with service across Malaysia. Pay the local rate for local calls and use a cellular phone in Malaysia like you do at home. And unlike home, your Malaysia SIM card and cell phone service is free of a contract or minimum commitment.
Also explore the options of buying a Malaysia-compatible cell phone if you don't have a Unlocked Cell Phone, renting a Malaysia Cell Phone at just $1 a day.

Indigenous Tour in Vietnam
It is easy to assume that all Vietnamese people belong to the same large family, but it isn't so. Vietnam has 54 officially recognised ethnic groups. The largest, the Kinh or Viet make up 86% but that leaves 14% among the other 53 ethnicities.
Most of these ethnic minorities live in the mountain areas in the north-west and in the Central Highlands, although there some in the south, too. The Tay, the Thai, the Muong, the Khmer, the H'mong , the Dao etc. all live in the northern hills and were considered by the lowland Vietnamese to be mysterious, possibly mythical peoples. It was not until the French colonialists attempted to use the Red River as a way into China, that the area was opened up and light shed upon these minority peoples.
But who are they and what are the differences and similarities between the different ethnic groups? Well, one way to find out is to ask them yourself! Many of the ethnic groups are happy to share a meal with you and introduce you to their background, history and tribal customs. Most importantly, they it is even possible to stay with them in their homes. Home stay visiting is well established in various areas of Vietnam.
The most ethnically diverse area of Vietnam is Lao Cai Province in the north-west. The area is home to 27 different ethnic groups, sharing a lifestyle growing rice in the paddy fields, but their dress, customs and language differ. In the Sapa area of Lao Cai, you can walk through the paddy fields to reach a remote village where you will eat, sleep and learn about living activities at the local H'mong residents' own homes.
You can also visit Mai Chau, in Hoa Binh province. The valley here is home to many ethnic minorities, including the white Thai. Here you can stay in a typical Thai house with palm leaf roof and bamboo floor. In the centre of the house is the kitchen, used not only for cooking but also to prepare the colourful material used to make their distinctive clothing.
If you are lucky you will visit on a Sunday, when the local minorities hold their weekly market. This is not just an opportunity to buy and sell, but becomes a mini-festival with traditional Thai dishes and traditional dancing.
Hoi An in Central Vietnam is a fascinating, well preserved middle ages port town, and World Heritage site. It was home to the Champa people, whose kingdom flourished until the 19th century when it was invaded by the Viet people from the north and became part of Vietnam. Home stay is also possible here and in surrounding villages.
The Mekong Delta, known as Cuu Long, or "Nine Dragons", in reference to the nine tributaries of the Mekong River which flood across the area. Of particular interest here are the floating markets, especially that at Can Tho. Again, home stay with local families is available here.
A typical day would be to visit a floating market in the morning, then take a boat trip to Con Phung (Phoenix Island) for a typical Vietnamese lunch with a local family. After lunch visit the local orchards, or a bee farm where you can taste natural honey and honey wine, then back to Can Tho for dinner and bed in a local family home. A unique chance to discover the daily life of Vietnamese people in the Mekong Delta.

Rhine River cruises are right on your doorstep
Holidays should be completely stress-free shouldn't they? After all, if you're booking a holiday it's probably safe to make the assumption that you need a break or a change of scenery, and the last thing you'll want to be doing is travelling for hours on end to get to your destination, with nothing to keep you entertained. This might well be one of the reasons why river cruises have become so popular with the discerning traveller, and why people choose to sail away from the grey British weather, time and time again, on cruise ships that offer luxurious on-board facilities and full programmes of entertainment.
The thing with river cruises is that they're completely hassle-free from start to finish; you can research, pick and book a river cruise online with access to full trip itineraries and deck plans, and you can choose to arrive at the European departure port by coach or plane (as organised by the holiday company) or to arrange your own transport. So, rather than being restricted to departing from a major UK airport if you don't happen to live anywhere near one, you can choose to go directly to a guaranteed coach pick-up point or arrange your own travel, at your convenience, to the place from which your cruise ship will set sail.
Take the MS Olympia cruise ship, for example. She departs from various European ports including Cologne, Andernach and Trier, giving plenty of options to those looking to set sail for a range of European destinations. When it comes to European destinations, Rhine River cruises are extremely popular - probably because you can take in the sights and sounds of the spectacular Rhine Gorge, visiting places like Rudesheim, the ancient city of Speyer, Strasbourg and Mainz. From Strasbourg you'll be able to visit the Notre Dame Cathedral in all its towering glory, as well as the imposing European Parliament buildings. Later on down the river, you'll be able to visit the Burg Eltz castle and see the incredible Rhine fireworks.
The ‘Rhine in Flames' is a seriously spectacular show of fireworks and illuminated river craft, which light up the night for all those lucky enough to be there, and Rhine River cruises are the perfect way to make sure you've got a front-row seat for the show. The great thing about a Rhine River cruise is the variety of places you'll experience, and all from a luxurious moving base that will take you from port to city in true style and give you that perfect mix of excitement, culture and relaxation.
There are plenty of river cruises you can choose from with the Rhine River Cruises being a firm faovurite amongst tourists

Book early for your Christmas markets break
The coming Christmas period may well be something that you are looking forward to and a recent trend has seen people visiting Christmas markets across Europe. These markets sell a wide range of festive gifts and crafts, as well as a selection of food and drink, that can really get you into the mood for Christmas. In recent years the UK has followed in the footsteps of many European cities by starting up Christmas markets during November and December in many of its large towns and cities – an event that has become incredibly popular.
These markets, which are often found in large city centres, are like many other street markets except that they are held in celebration of the coming of Christmas. The trend originates from Germany and the Alsace but Christmas markets in many UK cities and other mainland European cities have sprouted up over the years, making for a perfect festive winter getaway for those looking to book a short break or Christmas cruise.
Christmas shopping can often be a stressful affair and a Christmas market holiday to Prague or Munich can actually be a great way to find original presents and at the same time relax during this hectic period. As with most holidays, Christmas market breaks can be busy - especially as we draw ever closer to the end of the summer when many holidaymakers will switch their focus from last-minute summer holidays to plan for winter breaks - so booking early is advisable.
There are many cheap winter breaks to a variety of European cities that host Christmas markets, and whether you only go for a day or two or stay for slightly longer, there are many other attractions in these cities aside from the Christmas markets. Many of these European cities are chosen for weekend breaks at all times of the year, whether because of their fascinating history, renowned culture or famous attractions, but with a Christmas market break you will see the true magic of these cities with the added bonus of the Christmas festivities.
Since Christmas markets have become so popular in this country, many people look to experience them abroad and see just how the originators celebrate Christmas in countries such as France and Germany. With such a growth in popularity, you'll want to book sooner rather than later to get the pick of the accommodation, and to make sure that you don't miss out on the wonderful atmosphere and experience of traditional Christmas markets.
Many breaks include not only your flights and accommodation but also a guided tour and transport to areas of interest, which is great for those wanting to fit a lot into a short trip.

Kolkata – India's second largest city
There is one metropolis in India with cost of living suiting the pockets of all besides very affordable dining and shopping-well that's Kolkata. This second largest city of India is also called the ‘City of Palaces' due to the numerous palaces needless to say about the countless monuments. With salt lakes about two and a half miles to the east, the Hooghly River on the west, a creek on the north, besides a number of tourist attractions, there is more About Kolkata which you can explore after visiting the city. Reading reviews on Kolkata will let you know more about Kolkata, especially those posted on web by tourists from within the country and abroad. The inimitability about Kolkata is that it was the seat of political affairs including social reforms during the colonial rule.
Tourists, especially shopping freaks, can take delight in shopping in Kolkata. Many an Indian family prefers shopping in Kolkata, especially clothes, furnishings, jewellery, etc. for marriage occasions. The city has room for all, right from street vendors to super markets. Shopping in Kolkata is all about bargaining. As per one of the reviews on Kolkata, one who can bargain can get the cheapest deals of the best products no matter whether it is sarees, apparel, handicraft, handloom, or other products.
Dining in the restaurants in Kolkata is incomplete without rice and ‘macher jhol' (fish curry) followed by rasagolla at the end of the meal, especially for non-vegetarians. Fish is the specialty in most of the restaurants in Kolkata. You can opt eating in small restaurants to the big joints and appease your appetite. Of course, you get all types of food too.
Your day's sight seeing, shopping, and related paraphernalia now being over, you can relax for some time in your hotel. You can also go for a spa therapy if your hotel offers this facility. Once you are rejuvenated, you can enjoy the nightlife in Kolkata. The myriad music played will activate your senses. You can visit any of the centres of nightlife in Kolkata - Fairlawn Hotel, Dublin, The Park, Tollygunge Club, and more.

Last Chance to Grab an Autumn Break in Favourite Med Resorts
There's still time for holidaymakers to grab some last-minute sunshine on the Mediterranean as autumn kicks in. Most children go back to school this week, meaning that it is the end of the expensive peak season and there are plenty of holidays available for those looking to get away in September and October.
The Mediterranean and beyond
Hays Travel have hundreds of deals in their summer sale to destinations all over the Mediterranean and beyond, but these next couple of months will be your last chance to visit many resorts until next May!
"Many resorts stay open all winter," says Emily from Hays, "But others close down completely from the end of October to the beginning of May. If you're looking to go to a Greek Island, for example, now is the time to grab a late deal!"
Indeed, many purpose-built resorts close their restaurants and bars for the winter months and although it is not impossible to reach the Greek Islands during this time, direct charter flights from the UK do stop at the end of next month.
Turkey - a popular Holiday Hotspot
Another area that has proven to be extremely popular with UK holidaymakers this summer is Turkey, and although some resorts along the warmer Antalya coast stay open all year round, tourist hubs like Marmaris and Bodrum tend to be pretty much closed for business after the end of October: These next few weeks could be your last chance to enjoy a great-value holiday to this beloved destination, with its fantastic choice of all-inclusive, self catering and bed and breakfast accommodation.
"September and October are also a great time to embark on a Mediterranean cruise and we have got some fantastic deals on some really exciting itineraries."
As temperatures in the Mediterranean begin to dip, most cruise lines start to take their ships on Caribbean, Canary Island or even Red Sea cruises, so September and October are a great time to grab a last chance Med cruise.
Dealing with the School Holidays.
If you're not travelling with school children, don't leave it until the last week of October for your bargain break, as you could find that the prices are very high.
"For most parts of England, the last week of October is a school half term break. This, coupled with the panic for people to grab a last week away in their favourite summer resort means that demand is high and it can be difficult to find a cheap holiday," says Emily, "If you aren't travelling with children, make sure you book a holiday that departs before the last week of October."
Of course, if you can't get away before 31st October, all is not lost. November onwards is a great time to get a long haul holiday bargain to a tropical destination such as the Caribbean, South East Asia and the Indian Ocean. If you don't want to go quite that far, there are still plenty of short haul resorts open year-round: Mainland Spain, The Canaries and Cyprus to name a few. A little further away but fantastic value-for-money and great for good weather is Egypt, where UK tourists flock to the Red Sea beaches.
"Don't panic if you can't go away before the summer season ends," says Emily, "There are so many exciting destinations to visit that stay open and warm throughout the winter months and November and December can be the best months of the year to grab a travel bargain!"
Because so many people spend November and December preparing for Christmas, there are fantastic deals to be had on pre-festive getaways, so this is the perfect time to head for sunnier climes.

INTERNATIONAL & DOMESTIC PASSENGER TRAFFIC AID JET AIRWAYS LOG STRONG GROWTH IN JULY 2010
JET AIRWAYS & JETLITE RETAIN LEADERSHIP POSITION, RATED BEST ON TIME PERFORMERS AMONGST SCHEDULED DOMESTIC AIRLINE IN JULY 2010
Capitalizing on the improvement in global business and holiday passenger traffic to overseas destinations, Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, has yet again achieved impressive seat factors of over 83.1% for its international operations. The airline has clocked a strong 27.8% growth in international revenue passengers which stood at 3.89 lakh in July 2010 as compared to the same period last year.
Jet Airways and JetLite have also achieved the highest on time performance (OTP) among the scheduled domestic carriers for the second consecutive month in July 2010. As per statistics released by the Director General of Civil Aviation, Jet Airways and JetLite posted 89.1% and 90% respectively on the critical service parameter of On Time Performance in July 2010.
Jet Airways and JetLite also continue to be the largest passenger airline group with a leading market share of 26.6% for the month of July 2010.
Jet Airways carried 7.82 lakh domestic revenue passengers in July 2010, while the seat factor for the airline's domestic operations also stood at an impressive 73.8%, a marked improvement over the same period last year. This at a time that is considered the slack travel season, especially for domestic travel given the onset of the monsoons bodes well for the airline, as it has helped Jet Airways clock ten consecutive months of impressive growth in passenger traffic and also retain its overall market leadership.
JetLite, the wholly owned subsidiary of Jet Airways India Ltd, has similarly posted a 16% increase in revenue passengers, carrying over 3.27 lakh in July 2010. JetLite also clocked a buoyant seat factor of 76.8% for July 2010, aided by improved services and enhanced on time reliability, which have enabled the airline to improve its penetration in the value carrier segment.
According to Mr. Nikos Kardassis, CEO, Jet Airways, “The organization’s strong performance for the tenth-consecutive month highlights, that we are the preferred airline carrier both internationally and in India for our guests. Jet Airways has retained the leadership position in an increasingly competitive market thanks to several initiatives such as constant product and service innovation, newly introduced codeshares, improved On Time Performance, all of which has manifested itself in superior service quality, greater reliability and enhanced connectivity for our guests. More importantly, it has been the unwavering dedication and commitment of our employees that have played a decisive role in helping retain our leadership in the India aviation sector, while staying one step ahead of the growth curve.”

Tips On Planning A Tour In East African
East African countries include Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. The pride of East Africa is a real lifetime experience which will require you to carry binoculars and camera of high quality to enable you take the best memorable photo shoots especially of the spectacular game viewing in the Serengeti and the Masai Mara game reserve. In these two parks, you will watch the biggest wildebeest migration ever in your life and also see the big five probably for your first time! You will be lucky to see the two giant mountains (Mt Kilimanjaro and Mt Kenya) in Africa. Gorilla tracking in Uganda, flamingo watching in Lake Nakuru, bird watching in lake Manyara and wildlife viewing in Ngoro Ngoro crater is a must watch.
Game viewing in the early morning and late afternoon is highly recommended since animals are very active at this time. Due to the hot sun during the day, animals relax in the shade to avoid exhaustion. East African tours especially in the game reserves/parks will be accompanied by dust as you drive through rough roads and many pot holes. You will therefore need to cover your cameras, tighten your safety belts and bear with the situation as you explore what Mother Nature has offered Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Remember to carry sun screen, insect repellent, sun glasses and enough sanitary requirements.
Before you plan your tour to East Africa, it is important to identify your personal interest. For instance, you can have your adventure in a small or a big group, as a couple or as a family. You can decide to go camping where you will enjoy game viewing, go mountain climbing or bird watching. You can also choose your own itineraries or let the tour operators do it on your behalf. Always pick a reputable and trusted tour operator so that you can enjoy your safari.
Depending on the availability of money, decide on a budget and timeframe that will suit your vacation needs. East Africa has various amazing animals, many natural wonders and there is no tour budget that will disappoint you! You should have a visa/passport on arrival to the airport and, always respect and check all visa rules with your travel agency. Limit your baggage weight as much as possible to cut on payment cost. Photographing of the locals is not allowed unless permitted by your tour guide. Visitors are required to take precautions against Malaria since some places in East Africa are prone to Malaria. There are qualified doctors in all hotels and lodges ready in case of an emergency.
