5 Activities For Large Groups Visiting NYC

New York has something for everybody and large groups of tourists visiting the Big Apple will find that there is plenty to do, eat and see in New York City. Popularly known as the city that never sleeps, NYC has famous buildings, large parks and beautiful beaches in addition to festivals, tours and activities. Here is a list of things for groups of tourists to do in New York City.

1. Visit Brighton Beach on Coney Island - Brighton Beach is, by no means, the only beach in New York City, but it is a great pace to spend a day. Brighton Beach is an excellent beach for swimming and its highlight is a family-owned restaurant serving traditional dishes such as pelmeni dumplings.

2. Make a Trip to the American Museum of Natural history - New York City has many museums and it is impossible to see them all in one day. Tourists must visit the American Museum of Natural History (AMNH) to view interesting exhibits related to fossils, astronomy, geology, gems and culture. Although it is difficult to see all the exhibits in one visit, AMNH offers a wide range of tours to help tourists get the most of their visit.

3. Visit Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum - Tourists to New York will not want to return without visiting Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, which has on display wax figures of eminent personalities such as President Barack Obama, Leonardo DiCaprio, Miley Cyrus and others. A wax figure of Robert Pattinson, who was crowned King of Kisses after he received the largest number of kisses from visitors to the museum, is of special interest.

4. Take the Staten Island Ferry - Taking the Staten Island Ferry is something groups of tourists should do soon after arriving in New York, since this is free and serves as a brief introduction to the Big Apple. The Staten Island Ferry takes people from Staten Island to Manhattan, on a ride that lasts less than half an hour. Tourists can enjoy splendid views of the harbour, the skyscrapers, the bridges, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island on this trip.

5. Go on a Food Tour - New York offers several food tours and tourists can simply choose one that suits them best to enjoy a wide range of New York delicacies such as falafel, chocolate twists, hot dogs, fried chicken, Philly steaks, shrimp rolls and much more. Taking a food tour in a large group is great fun because tourists can share orders and costs and taste a number of delicacies.
