The word cruise conjures a number images, most of them heavily informed and warped by the venerable Captain Stubing and his faithful crew. While, yes, the Love Boat was certainly a cruise ship, it was a far cry from the luxury yachts that abound today in Marina del Rey. And why, you may ask, should you care about the plentiful yachts in this most-posh marina? Well, there are a host of occasions that can provide adequate reasons for chartering a yacht.
While you could give in to the urge to live out the ubiquitous hop-hop meme of hosting a champagne party on board a yacht, there are better reasons to lay down your hard-earned capital. Have you ever considered a leisurely Los Angeles dinner cruise? Or perhaps a nautical wedding? What about simply getting away from it all. To be sure, you could charter a yacht to just moor off the coast of Catalina Island and relax. Indeed, according my paparazzi friends, just such a tactic is favored by the rich and famous (whom shall remain nameless).
If the notion of celebrating at sea strikes your fancy, take heart in the fact that many yacht services offer catered meals. They can prepare everything from the hors devours to the dessert and keep you plied with a cellar's worth of fine wines, name-brand liquors, and imported beers. While this dinner party at sea need not become too rowdy, it should prove just lively enough to be fondly remember by your guests. Of course, given that much wine and spirits, it may be difficult to remember much of anything.
Before reserving your yacht for that fateful dinner cruise, be sure to contact the yacht services in the marina well in advance. The last thing you would want to do is drag your entire entourage down to the marina, only to find you had to book a month in advance.
The perfect LA dinner cruise is just a reservation away. Be sure to look into having the dinner catered.
